Job Summary

The Manager of Content Operations will be responsible for managing content operations and executing content management and publishing across multiple channels and customer touch points. Manage the content resources and vendors effectively in order to build competitive distribution advantage by providing a proactive supply of compelling, accurate content that creates relevancy at the point of sale to promote hotel uniqueness and brand value that ultimately drives business to the Hilton Family of Brands, while ensuring reuse of content and keeping cost controlled. In addition, execute content standards and governance across distribution channels, specially the websites. The Manager of Content Operations will have a key role in vendor management and be responsible for relationship management, day-to-day resource management, and ensuring cost are controlled and budgets are met. This position will be responsible for ensuring vendors meet deadlines and adhere to content operation standards.

This position would be responsible for working with the Product and PMO team on content projects and would be responsible for gathering content and entering and/or repurposing content as appropriate and needed for website projects. This position would also attend business requirements meeting and be responsible for reading, reviewing, and signing off of on scope and functional spec for websites projects as they relate website content operations. This position would also be responsible for ensuring the timelines and deadlines are met for content operations that are documented in the website project plan. In addition, this position would be responsible for UAT of website content projects as well as entering test or actual content for the project and adhering to the project timelines and dates.

Provide a business liaison role for content operations working collaboratively with other website teams, HRCC and global business units to ensure effective communication and tight integration between customer need, business priority and content delivery and operations. The Manager of Content Operations must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to present effectively and accurately regarding the status of content for projects and content operations overall. In addition, this person will be responsible for providing a consolidated and comprehensive project status report to leadership.

Basic Qualifications

• 4 year college degree or advanced degree or any combination of education equivalent internet, content management and/or operations / vendor management experience may be considered.

• 4 to 6 years experience with content operations and/or vendor management.

• Proficiency in computer programs essential to perform job tasks, such as word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and e-mail. Knowledge of and/or proficiency or ability to learn Hilton back-end applications.

• Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience, including others in the department and people in other departments and/or outside the corporation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Products, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook

• Three to five years’ hotel and/or hotel management/staff experience

• Proficiency in Internet functions, specifically site navigation and transaction-based tasks.

• Must be highly-motivated with a desire to achieve success through collaboration and teamwork.
