. Summary of Position

Under direct supervision of the Executive Chef, the Line Cook prepares and serves hot and cold food items at Luxo Café in accordance with established Café recipes, portion sizes, waste control, and food safety requirements. The person(s) in this position will also be responsible for ensuring the stocking of their assigned food station and carrying out maintenance and cleaning of kitchen equipment, utensils, appliances, and spaces as directed. Other duties, as necessary, may be assigned by the Lead or Manager to whom this person reports.

.Responsibilities

- Prepare food items, ensuring consistency and compliance with the Café¿s recipes, portioning, cooking, and waste control guidelines.

- Provide courteous and informative customer service while ensuring that assigned station is stocked and clean.

- Follow Café guidelines concerning guest services, food and physical safety, maintenance, and equipment/space cleaning requirements at all times.

- Wear provided uniform of a clean coat, non-slip shoes, pants, hair tied back, and a hat for proper safety and sanitation.

. Qualifications

- A minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.

- Ability to work in a high-volume environment as a team player.

- Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel and guests.

- This job is in an open kitchen, requiring pleasant customer service skills.

- General knowledge of common computer software and web browsers to view internal company information.

Physical Requirements:

- Able to work in continuously standing position for prolonged periods of time, 6-8 hours per day.

- Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, and lifting of objects up to 50 pounds.
