The Demand Optimization Product Line Leader is responsible for the development and implementation of a global business strategy for the Demand Optimization solution and will be measured on profit and loss activities such as: orders, growth and profitability with year one (2010) target of $2M in revenue and huge growth expectations to be $6M by 2011.
Essential Responsibilities *Manage 2 or more product managers and leverage a matrixed team of subject experts; owns global expansion plan for Smart Grid development and "go to market" strategy, leveraging all Transmission & Distribution profit and loss, partners and sales team
*The Product Line Leader defines commercial strategy for the business, ensures the growth and profitability of the product / service offerings by defining and allocating resources to execute necessary programs and by driving standard processes for fulfillment
*Provide the necessary strategic and overall product and line support to the Sales and Proposal development (Inquiry to Order) teams in the development of proposals in pursuit of specific opportunities; establish a new, solutions based sell
*Assist in formulating the order closing strategy for key strategic orders
*Supply market and competitive analysis for segment and input to operations on resource needs and training
*Provide leadership and support for new product introduction; market analysis, customer critical to quality measurement, identification and quantification of market needs, required new products and services or new features, required investment and return on investment
*Work with engineering segment leaders to keep standard specifications current with market conditions
Qualifications/Requirements *Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
*Minimum of 5 years of business leadership and/or commercial experience
*Minimum 3 additional years product management and/or program management experience
*Minimum 1 year estimating experience
ELIGABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
*Willingness and ability to travel 40% of the time

* Geographical Information System (GIS), EMS, DMS and/or Onboard Maintenance System (OMS) product knowledge
